Multitude Monday Chocolate and Coffee edition

My kids loved the chocolate at the chocolate and coffee festival in our town. My husband and I enjoyed the coffee. My Princess had such a great time that she is already asking about attending next year.  I am also thankful for my church family, and that my kids had fun playing with their friends after church.

I am thankful for the blessing of friendship, and that God has put people who love my children and me well in our lives.

I am thankful for new books. Curling up with a good book is definitely one of my love languages.

I am thankful for beautiful spring weather. We ate our lunch outside yesterday. I really enjoy the opportunity to eat outside.

I am thankful that my children pick me bouquets of wildflowers.

I am thankful for my children’s curiosity, creativity, and their imaginative spirits. They bring me so much joy!

What are you thankful for today?

1,000 gifts

I am happy to be counting gifts in this place again. This practice is so important to me. I find that counting gift helps me to be more joyful and more fully present in my days. Here  are some of the things that I am thankful  for this week.

I love  playing at the splash park with my children.

I enjoyed a yummy lunch with my family Sunday after church and ran into a lovely couple from church at the restaurant.

My hubby insisting I relax on a float while he kept the kids from splashing me in the pool.

My kids being excited about learning about sea stars. The Sun stars with a bunch of arms is my daughter favorite.

I love my friends who go out of their way to encourage me.

My Cuddle Bug being so proud of herself for serving herself lunch like a big girl.

I love listening to my Princess make up games to play in the swimming pool.

My Princess talking with my Little Man telling him that they will be best friends forever, and that they will visit each other at each others houses when they grow up.

What are you thankful for this week?

Multitude Monday Counting gifts

I have decided that I need to start chronicling the gifts in my life in this space. I find that when I do not pause and write down my gifts that I quickly forget all the beauty, wonder, and loveliness in life. I have a gratitude journal, but I need the accountability of stopping once a week and considering what I am thankful for each week. Below are a few of the things that I am thankful for this week.

  1. My children say funny things everyday. They really keep me laughing.
  2. My husband and I had coffee and an inspiring conversation with a good friend.
  3. My kids and I enjoyed an afternoon at the park with a play-group from church.
  4. I am thankful for a new Sermon series at church that I think is going to be very encouraging and thought-provoking.
  5. A friend prayed with me after church on Sunday and encouraged me so much.
  6. My littlest had her pony-tailed by one of my friends and a fellow mom at church, and she was talking about the pony-tail the rest of the day.
  7. I love coffee or tea breaks.
  8.  I love receiving Facebook messages from friends.
  9. Our cats make our whole family laugh with their silly antics, and the kids love playing with them.

This song is really inspiring me this week. Just look up, and know you are loved, today.

So, what are you thankful for today?
